2542: Grand Sumo collection (Kototsurugi)

A collection of the recognised techniques of winning in sumo. There are 82 winning techniques, plus five hi-waza, or "non-techniques", really ways of losing for the opponent (these are the last five pictures, with green captions).

Wikipedia has a full list under the Japanese term kimarite.

Kototsurugi is a former sumo wrestler, born in 1960. After a not very distinguished sumo career, he returned to his childhood love of drawing, and has become a successful sumo cartoonist. His sumo name Kototsurugi is a typically poetic combination of the koto (Japanese harp) and tsurugi, a broadsword; his real name is Miyata Noboru.
